PostCheck

Paste a public link — Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, Bluesky, an article, or a blog. PostCheck reads the caption or page, pulls out up to three factual statements, and follows their direct references back as far as it can reach.

It looks for the earliest recoverable record behind a claim, not the most popular article repeating it.

post-check/web-v3 — reads public captions, metadata, and plain HTML. It does not search the open web and does not rule on whether a claim is true.

How PostCheck works

Direct references only

It follows the references a page actually points to. It doesn't rate publishers or crawl the open web.

Failures stay honest

Pages that are private, blocked, oversized, or thin on text return a stated limitation — never a guess.

Earliest isn't proof

Tracing where the wording came from shows the trail. It doesn't establish that the claim is true.
